Are you searching for an efficient and elegant design for a tiny house on 60 square meters of land? Our most recent design for a tiny house optimally provides the needed features for functionality along with beauty by incorporating smart design techniques that enhance the value of every square meter.
Tiny House Layout Overview.
This design for a tiny house contains two bedrooms, one bathroom, an open plan living, dining, and kitchen area, and an auxiliary kitchen at the back.
Space Saving Features.
We used an open plan approach by combining the living, dining, and kitchen into a single area. Removing unnecessary barriers maximizes square meter usage, adding to the house’s value. The design further makes provisions for efficient meal prep by providing the dining table as an additional counter.
Solutions for Ventilation and Lighting Challenges
One of the two chief obstacles when designing compact homes is optimizing air flow and ensuring the presence of natural light. To mitigate this problem, we introduced high ceiling space which improves air flow and natural cooling. Furthermore, we fitted a bathroom clerestory window that guarantees proper lighting, ventilation, and privacy.
Creative Approaches to Designing a Tiny House
Expand the Master Bedroom with an Added Patio
We enlarged the master bedroom by utilizing the front yard as a patio area and installing privacy screens. This design encourages passive ventilation and makes the bedroom feel larger than it actually is. The enclosed patio offers more privacy and gives more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
Bedroom Two: Utilizing Height for Storage
The second bedroom features high ceilings that create additional storage and sleeping areas. A stair cabinet provides access to the raised double deck bed and additional storage. The cabinet area keeps the room organized and maximizes storage.
Conclusion
Designing a comfortable tiny house on a 60-square-meter lot can be challenging, but with basic good design principles, it can easily be accomplished. The house’s open layout, high ceilings, and use of multi-functional spaces help it feel spacious and well-ventilated. This design is great for potential homeowners looking to downsize, build a guest house, or make efficient use of a small lot, as it combines comfort and functionality seamlessly.
